Reviews

Tom was entertaining and professional. He took Jennica and I to the best Tex-Mex that Downtown Dallas has to offer. The tour was a perfect blend of culinary deliciousness and valuable history lessons.

Amazing Afternoon on Dallas Food Tour
Since I’m not a Texas native, but a lover of Tex/Mex cuisine, I was intrigued by the idea of going on a Dallas Food and Culture Walking Tour. We enjoyed chatting with the friendly proprietor of Kokopelli Sweets and getting a little background on their yummy chipotle mango sorbet and sampled Mexican hot chocolate. After sampling the chili at YO Steakhouse, we enjoyed a fascinating tour of the historic restaurant and learned a lot about the early days of Texas. I will definitely be back to have the brisket pizza from Tutta’s. A truly tasty treat! We were stuffed and happy at the end of the tour. I can’t wait until friends and family come into town as I will surely recommend this tour.

FAQs

How much walking is there?

During the tour, you’ll be walking for roughly a half-mile as your guide tells you about Dallas’s history and culture.

Is the cost of food included with the tour price?

The guided walking tour is included in the price of your ticket. Simply hand the guide $30 in cash when you arrive, and the guide will take care of the rest, including Texas-sized servings of meals at all four locations. It’s easier for a restaurant to provide more food for less money if you pay in cash, so you don’t compromise quality or quantity.

What is the rescheduling policy?

We are aware that plans might change. You may easily change your tour up to 24 hours before departure. We provide a 100% refund up to 24 hours before the start of your tour. Within 24 hours of your tour, we would have incurred hard costs and therefore cannot allow rescheduling or cancellation without costs.

What if it rains?

Our tours go on rain or shine, so please check the weather forecast before you go. If we have to cancel due to severe weather conditions, we will give you the option to reschedule or get a full refund.

What about gratuities?

Tips are always appreciated but never expected. They’re a great way to tell your guide they did an awesome job and show your appreciation.
