Travel across the tracks and learn how the 1873 merger of two railways transformed Dallas into the commercial hub of the Southwest, a first for a city without a significant river or harbor. As we take a tour of this unusual area, we’ll stroll through tree-lined streets and enjoy the excellent comfort of the air conditioning at each stop.
Our pay-as-you-go concept allows you to eat more for less money than other food excursions, making it a better bargain overall. On your arrival, just hand the guide $30 in cash, and the guide will handle the rest. They’ll pay for the whole group at each of our four stops, cutting down on wait times. Paying in cash also makes it easier for each establishment to serve more food, so you can be sure to get your fill.
There’s no end to what you can eat on this Texas foodie adventure.

Tom was entertaining and professional. He took Jennica and I to the best Tex-Mex that Downtown Dallas has to offer. The tour was a perfect blend of culinary deliciousness and valuable history lessons.

FAQs
How much walking is there?
During the tour, you’ll be walking for roughly a half-mile as your guide tells you about Dallas’s history and culture.
Is the cost of food included with the tour price?
The guided walking tour is included in the price of your ticket. Simply hand the guide $30 in cash when you arrive, and the guide will take care of the rest, including Texas-sized servings of meals at all four locations. It’s easier for a restaurant to provide more food for less money if you pay in cash, so you don’t compromise quality or quantity.
What is the rescheduling policy?
We are aware that plans might change. You may easily change your tour up to 24 hours before departure. We provide a 100% refund up to 24 hours before the start of your tour. Within 24 hours of your tour, we would have incurred hard costs and therefore cannot allow rescheduling or cancellation without costs.
What if it rains?
Our tours go on rain or shine, so please check the weather forecast before you go. If we have to cancel due to severe weather conditions, we will give you the option to reschedule or get a full refund.
What about gratuities?
Tips are always appreciated but never expected. They’re a great way to tell your guide they did an awesome job and show your appreciation.
